Tattoo Removal Specialist Serving New Westminster and Beyond

Are you feeling self-conscious or regretful about cosmetic tattoos that you no longer want? Or are they getting too dark or saturated for a colour boost? We’ve got it handled! We, at Vita Felice Medi Spa, provide a saline tattoo removal treatment, which can safely and effectively remove unwanted tattoos without lasers. This helps you feel more confident in your own skin!

We are now using an award-winning Botched Ink saline tattoo removal product.

With similar fashion and equipment commonly used in tattooing, a saline solution from Botched Ink is applied to the tattooed skin. Botched Ink uses Dead Sea Salt, chosen for its high mineral content which benefit the skin. It’s specially made to remove and lighten conventional and cosmetic tattoos, and ingredients are selected to quickly dries out. The process creates a hypertonic reaction, which allows your skin cells to release the pigments from your tattoo to the outer layer of your skin. The procedure aims to form a superficial and thin scab into which the pigments are pulled. When the scab heals and falls off, the pigment lightens and eventually disappears!

Post-Care

  • Remove the cover when you get home. Do not leave it on for longer than 2 hours, preferably remove it within 1 hour.

  • TREAT AREA WITH TLC. After 48 hours, apply a thin layer of Cavilon barrier film in the after care kit. You can get the area a little wet when washing and showering, but avoid rubbing the area. After any wetness, gently hold a clean tissue on the scab to dry it out.

  • DO NOT apply creams, lotions, makeup or disrupt the scabbing process (i.e. no picking, scratching, etc.) other than Cavilon film. All scabbing needs to fall off naturally.
  • Do not expose the treated area to the sun. Always cover the area or apply sunscreen. Sunscreen can be used after scabs are off.
  • LIPS (Liner Only) please drink all liquids with a straw until all scabbing has naturally fallen off and keep the mouth activities minimum. No whitening, no peroxide toothpastes should get on the scab.

Failure to follow the post-care instructions may cause complication, scarring and infection and in the worst case the treatment may not be able to continue.

What to expect

  • Lightening and/or removing unwanted pigment is a process and patience is required. Oftentimes it takes more sessions, is more costly, frustrating and painful. Give the process a fair chance to work. Generally speaking, expect visible and wanted results in 4 to 6 sessions, but can be more or less.
  • How many sessions needed will depend on how saturated the pigment is, how deep it was implanted and how much needs to be removed for the desired result, what kind of ink and color was used. In many cases only a percentage of the density needs to be lightened/removed and then we can continue the correction process by color correcting.
  • We are creating injuries. You will feel soreness for a couple of hours. That is normal.
  • It may look darker before you see it lighter as we are pulling the ink to the surface.

What is saline tattoo removal?

This form of tattoo removal relies on the use of an all-natural, carcinogen-free saline solution to remove and lighten tattoos from your skin. It is effective on all types of tattoos, including conventional and cosmetic tattoos and microblading, no matter how long you’ve had them, what color they are or where they are located (except lip tissue).

How does saline tattoo removal work?

We use an award winning Botched Ink saline solution that is designed to draw blood and quickly dries out, and deposit it into your skin, creating a hypertonic reaction. This allows the pigment from your tattoo to rise to the surface layer of your skin. As it heals, a scab forms containing the pigments and when it falls off, the pigment goes with it.

Can tattoos on any part of the body be removed?

We can remove your unwanted tattoos from just about anywhere, though we don’t do eyeliner and lip tissue tattoo removal. We do, however, provide removal from a lip liner tattoo outside the vermilion boarder.

How soon can I see results?

In most cases, results can be seen after one session, but it generally takes multiple sessions. Various factors, such as the depth of the pigment in your tissue, pigments used, and the age of the tattoo, play a role in how soon you will see results. Sometimes, particularly if you have done laser removal, you may notice a darkening of the tattoo as the pigments travel to the surface; this is normal and will become lighter with continuation of the procedure.

Can you remove my tattoo completely?

The only real way to completely remove a tattoo is a surgical removal of the skin, which causes scarring. With our method, while it may not remove all pigment from the skin, it can lighten the pigment enough for the tattoo to be gone from sight.

Does it hurt?

Unlike lasers and surgery, saline tattoo removal is mostly painless as a numbing agent is used to help you feel more comfortable during the removal process.

Is this a safe method?

Yes, our saline tattoo method is safe. We use a special formula that contains no acid or carcinogens. It is all-natural and very effective at removing tattoo pigment. However, a successful result requires you to follow after-care instructions. If after-care is not closely followed, it may lead to infection or scarring

How effective is saline tattoo removal?

Our method of saline tattoo removal is extremely effective and scientifically tested and works on any colors of pigment. It pulls pigments out of your body by osmosis, as our saline solution has a much higher concentration of salt than body fluids.

Please be advised, however, that sometimes the tattoo can become darker initially as the saline solution draws the pigments to the surface

Do I need to have a consultation first?

Yes, we require that you have a consultation before we can schedule your first session. You may choose to do your consultation over the phone or online for free. If you prefer to do in-clinic consultation, you will receive a 50% credit if you book within 2 weeks from the consultation date. A patch test is no longer required.

Are there discounts?

The 3-session package will receive 15% off. There is a size limitation per session.

Please also note that we can work on up to 2 square inches per session.

How often can I schedule the session?

For the same area, you will need to wait minimum of 8 weeks after the 1st session and the 2nd session, and 12 weeks after the 3rd session. If the skin has not been fully healed, you will need to wait longer.
