Try These Top-Notch Eyebrow Treatments

Nano Brows (Machine Hair Strokes)

The nano brows process, also known as nano or machine hair strokes, produces luscious brows. The strokes copy the color and style of your hair and complexion to form a natural look. How they look is just like microblading, they are hair-like strokes. The hair strokes, however, create strokes with a continuation of dots from a needle going in and out of the skin. The finished product is light, and feathered, and creates perfectly natural eyebrows.

Powder Brows / Ombré Brow

OmbrĂ© eyebrow shading, also known as ombrĂ© powder brows, is ideal for all skin types, someone with previous cosmetic tattoos of any kind*, or those with full brow hair. This new trend creates a soft shaded brow powder appearance. The treatment is designed for people looking for extra eyebrow definition without having to fill in their eyebrows every day. OmbrĂ© eyebrow shading can be customized based on the client’s skin type, complexion, and desired look.

This is the most popular service!

* If the shape of the existing brow tattoo is bigger than the new shape, or the actual color is too dark or saturated, tattoo removal is required.

Combo Brows

Combo brows is a combination of shading and hair strokes. Some clients like hair strokes at the beginning of the brows to give more natural effects. Other clients like shading to be added to hair strokes to enhance depth and create a natural look. This is a versatile treatment to create what you like.

Eyebrow Cosmetic Tattoo Post-Care & What to Expect

  • Always wash your hands before touching your brows
  • First 2 hours following procedure:
Dab brows with clean, dry tissue or gauze every 15 minutes or until no traces of blood or oozing. This should prevent scabs from forming.
  • 6 hours following procedure: Clean brows with MicroTonic and apply a thin layer of MicroBalm (both in the after-care kit).
  • After the first 6 hours:
    • Clean brows with MicroTonic 2-3 times a day for the 72 hours after the procedure, and
    • gently and quickly wash brows twice daily with mild soap after 72 hours, and pat dry immediately. Do not get brows soaking wet or leave them wet.
  • Apply a thin layer of MicroBalm 2-3 times a day after washing until all flaking is gone for about 7-14 days.
  • When taking a shower: Apply Vaseline above the brows and place a wrap over the brow area.
  • Until flakes and scabs are naturally fallen off:
    • Do not rub, pick or scratch the new brows.
    • Do not use a sauna or do heavy exercise.
    • Do not use any cosmetics, cleansing lotions or creams on brows.
  • For the following 4 weeks: Do not use a tanning bed / be out in the sun.
  • General daily care after 4 weeks: Avoid exfoliating with retinol, acids, or Retin-A in the brow areas, and always apply sunscreen.

What to expect in the healing process

  • In general, dry skin types holds pigment better and longer than oily skin types.
  • The pigment lightens faster for larger pore skin than smaller pore skin.
  • Permanent makeup lightens faster on younger skin.
  • Brow colour will appear very warm (red) and become darker over the following days! The colour will fade up to 40% lighter after 4 weeks.
  • Once flakiness and scabs are gone, the brow may look very light. The color comes back again.
  • The area can appear uneven, dry and itchy after the procedure.
Healing is different for each client. Genetics, hormones, medication/supplements, medical conditions, daily skincare products, and lifestyle can affect the treatment.

It is important to book your touch up 8-10 weeks after the initial treatment. A colour boost may then be needed every 1-2 years to maintain the appearance.

Eyebrow Cosmetic Tattoo FAQs

What is eyebrow permanent makeup (PMU)?

It is essentially a cosmetic tattoo for eyebrows and encompasses different technique to achieve different look. Microblading is probably the most commonly known technique to simulate brow hair, also known as eyebrow embroidery, eyebrow feathering, and 3D eyebrows done with a hand tool. Similarly using a tattoo / PMU device, the same brow hair like strokes can be created and this method is known as hair strokes or nano strokes. The other distinctive method is shading, which creates powder makeup look and can be done manually with hand tool or machine. It can create softer or bold, or ombré look. This can be known as powder brows, soft powder brows, ombré brows. We can also combine all these techniques to create eyebrows that suits your face and skin.

Are Permanent Makeup Brows Right for Me?

Permanent makeup brows are a great option for many men and women who want to enhance and improve the appearance of their eyebrows! Since we offer a variety of techniques, we’ll find the best-suited methods to create your dream brows! Or, for someone who would like to know more about hair loss on your scalp, explore a solution for hair loss.

Why I can not get new PMU over my faded microblading?

Even though existing PMU might be faded compared to when it was done, oftentimes the skin is still too saturated to take more pigments. The skin is like a sponge. If it is too saturated, it cannot absorb more. In that case, we have to remove pigments from the skin so that it can take new pigments. If the skin is not too saturated, we can do a new PMU over the old one if the old shape is all within the new shape. However, there might need color correction, which may require an additional session.

How long do the results last?

The pigments are not deposited as deeply as conventional tattoos, so they will fade naturally over time. Your results typically will last anywhere from 1 to 3 years, depending on numerous factors such as your skin type, your age, skin conditions, health conditions, and lifestyle. How you care for your skin matters too. For example, using products with AHAs will fade the pigment sooner. A yearly touchup is highly recommended in order to keep your eyebrows looking full and natural, and keep your confidence booming.

How long does the appointment take?

Please schedule for about 3 hours. It may be done in as quick as 2 hours. However, some skin takes much longer to take in the pigments. We will do our best to accommodate every client and their timely needs.

What happens during the session?

Your brow technician will provide a shape and style for you. On your approval, the pigment color is then selected. Once you’re satisfied, the procedure will move forward.

Do I have to do a follow up?

Yes, it’s required that you come back in 6-10 weeks after your first session to do a touch-up if you are new to permanent makeup. We go conservative for the initial session to see how your skin take color and how it heals. Some areas may not take in the first session and will need refilling. This session will take up to 3 hours.

How long is the healing process?

Your eyebrow area will be a little red following the procedure and the color will look dark and even darker after a few hours; this is normal and part of the healing process. In the days after the procedure, you’ll notice scabbing or flaking, which is also normal. Do not pick at the scabs. In total, it will take about 7 to 14 days for the scabs to naturally fall. At this point, the color will fade about 40% but it will return, and in about a month the color should fully set in. You may go through an emotional time or uncertainty during this period, which is also quite normal. It takes 2-3 months to see the final results.

Is it painful?

Some feel no pain while others feel mild pain. Before the procedure begins, your brow technician will put topical anesthetic on the area to numb it. Some say it feels like light scratching while others feel nothing at all.

Are there exceptions for these services?

Unfortunately, the microblading services are not for everyone. Please read this page’s information before making an appointment with us. Shading may be suggested for individuals with lots of brow hair, oily skin type, or with previous brow tattoos/microblading. However, if you have previous brow tattoos, please send photos for assessment. Removal may be required before proceeding with PMU or may require an additional session to complete.

Our Eyebrow Treatment Process

1. DISCUSS YOUR EYEBROW GOALS

Our specialists will first discuss what your cosmetic goals are to determine the most effective cosmetic eyebrow treatment. We take your current appearance, hair and skin type, medical history, and desired final look into consideration when determining the most suitable brow treatment.

2. GOING THROUGH THE PROCESS

Once you settle on a safe and effective eyebrow treatment, our specialists will get to work. The brow is cleaned. Then we draw the shape for your approval. The technician uses the specialized tools to create a permanent brow tattoo and achieve your desired look. Don’t worry, a numbing agent will be applied to reduce the discomfort. Almost every single client dozes off on our bed during the procedure! Before finishing, a soothing tonic will be applied to your eyebrows and the surrounding skin. It decreases any irritation and discomfort and helps the healing process.

3. FLAUNT YOUR GORGEOUS BROWS

Our eyebrow treatments are not aggressively invasive. You may feel soreness for a few hours following your appointment. If you follow our after-care instruction, scabbing is very minimum. (Remember, this is a joint project. That means you have to do your part to achieve the best result!) Otherwise, you can do what you usually do within the after-care protocol, all the while showing off your amazing new eyebrows.
